Holiday game on the hardwoods

School is out for Christmas vacation across the state of Texas, finally, so we kicked it off by attending a holiday basketball game. The grad student invited a friend she has known since 5th grade and they had a great time catching up.

I invited one of my good friends and her older daughter to join us, so we could watch my friend's younger daughter perform with the team's hype squad. 

My friend's daughter is the cutie patootie behind the drum as seen on the Jumbotron for some contest they held during a timeout.

The last time we attended a game over Thanksgiving break, my younger daughter and her boyfriend were on the Jumbotron's Kiss Cam. Unfortunately, none of us had quick enough reflexes with our phones to get evidence of it. Last night we were luckier, when our grad student's friend was able to snap a quick pic of us on the Jumbotron's Emoji Cam. We cackled for a good five minutes afterwards. Then when the Kiss Cam rolled around, we awww'd at the live wedding proposal in the stands.
