An introvert's dream...

Social distancing may be THE catchphrase for 2020 as the entire world deals with the novel coronavirus, aka COVID 19. Though honestly, I don't see everyone taking this seriously. And with school out for at least a month in our neck of the state? Our local leaders may need to institute a curfew like other places have done. Because we all know some folks won't curtail their flitting around, no matter that it's a pandemic.

I'm keeping myself busy with yard, pool and patio maintenance to combat the annual spring oak tree debris. It's a full time job.

I've enjoyed some of our recent streaming, including the last season of "The Man in the High Castle" as well as "The Great British Bake Off". I've also discovered live animal cams thanks to folks posting for the kids out of school. Because truly... who doesn't love watching otters at play?!

The college freshman daughter C and I zipped over to our local seafood specialty store to get the fixin's for a big pot of shrimp and crab gumbo. Poor C and older daughter A were supposed to be in NYC this week, playing tourist even though they've both been several times. Then this pandemic took off and so we cancelled it in an abundance of caution. Who in their right mind goes to such a densely populated city where they could catch and spread this virus to friends and family? Not us!

Our dogs are enjoying a captive audience at home with a couple more hands to pet them, chasing squirrels in the yard and snuggling up with the girls for some TV time.
