90 is the new 80

Last weekend we traveled six hours, roundtrip, to celebrate my husband's Aunt Mary's 90th birthday for about four hours over in the Houston area. It was so nice that ten of the husband's cousins attended, most which I hadn't seen in at least 15 years. Now their kids are grown and they've all got grand babies running around.

The birthday girl is getting a little frail, and yet her mind is still sharp as a tack. She has been a wonderful example of a smart (Baylor Bear grad, y'all) and strong, yet kind Christian woman who raised a wonderful family with her husband of 60+ years, Uncle Mack (God rest his soul).

Below are the three remaining siblings of the original six. In addition to Mary in the middle, currently the oldest, she is flanked by Sue on the left and my husband's dad on the right. The day was a bit tiring with all of that car time, but it was a wonderful opportunity to visit with all of the extended family.
